The Society attracts a devoted membership of between 80 and 100 people, with around 55-60 attending each meeting. These usually take place in Linton Memorial Hall but this is currently impossible because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2020-21 season is taking place entirely online, using Zoom.

For the  2020-21 season, Individual Membership is just £20.00, and Joint Membership (two people residing at the same address) £35.00.

You can join by downloading this MEMBERSHIP FORM Thus opens as a Word document so that you can fill it in.

The most Covid-safe way is to fill out the Membership form on your computer or device, attaching it to an email sent to our Membership Secretary and Treasurer, and paying online directly to the Society’s bank account.  Alternatively, you can print out the form, fill it in, and post with your cheque to our Membership: Secretary. Details are on the form.

Privacy Policy

Linton Antique Society compiles an annual register of its members and a temporary mailing list of potential members on the basis of 'legitimate interest' as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (2018), Article 6(1)(f):
‘processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data, in particular where the data subject is a child.’

The legitimate interests of the Society are:

  • To be able to identify its paid-up members (who alone are entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting) and to administer its business.
  • To communicate with members, giving details of the Society’s programme and events, its business and any other information judged to be of interest.
  • To provide information about the Society and its events, on request, to non-members.

The information for the annual register is submitted directly by members which helps ensure that it is accurate and as up-to-date as possible. The information is collected by means of the annual membership application form which asks members for their name, address and contact details (including phone number(s) and e-mail address) and provides options of choosing how the Society communicates with individual members.

The information on the annual register is accessible only to its Committee members for the purposes of conducting Society business. It is not disclosed to any other person, organisation or body. A member’s details are held on the annual register only while that individual is a member of the Society.

Non-members who attend meetings can request that their personal information be added to a mailing list so that they receive notification about Society events and membership by a means of their choice. This information is accessible only to Committee members and is only held until the membership notification for the following season is sent out.

You may request a copy of your information or amend it by getting in touch with the Membership Secretary who is the Society’s Data Controller. Her contact details are:
