THURSDAY14 MAY 2015, LEAVING LINTON MEMORIAL HALL at 9.00am.

Our outing for 2015 will be to Chatsworth House, home of the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire, set in the heart of the Peak District.  Chatsworth is considered to be one of the best privately-owned stately houses in the country and is about one-and-a-half hour's drive from Wetherby.  We are sure many of you will have previously visited but there is always something new - see below. The extensive grounds and gardens are delightful for walkers.
As our ‘dolly waitresses’ are not getting any younger and the roads are becoming bumpier, we have decided, in the interests of safety, to discontinue serving refreshments whilst travelling.  Instead, we shall have a coffee stop about an hour after departure and serve Bucks Fizz at the coach 15 minutes before leaving Chatsworth.
We have arranged, for those who would like one, a guided tour of the house which takes 90 minutes and costs an extra £4 per person.  Lifts and disabled access are available.

COSTS
The cost per person for entry to the House and Gardens, coach travel and driver’s tip is £25 and for those taking the guided tour £29.

MAKE YOURSELF COMFORTABLE AT CHATSWORTH

In 2015 we invite you to experience Chatsworth in a new way; to take a seat and make yourself comfortable. Outstanding contemporary seating by international designers, such as Moritz Waldemeyer, Thomas Heatherwick and many more, will be shown throughout the route bringing to light new stories about the interior and the historic Collection. Dotted amongst the historic seating protected by prickly teasels and ropes, we want you to sit on the modern day seats and feel at home.
